In his years of development in the industry since then, he has had extensive experience in managing the Group’s wide spectrum of marine construction works, which includes dredging, reclamation, rock revetment works, marine structures and jetties, breakwaters, shore protection, beach nourishment, pre-bore and marine piling works.

Spearheading each project’s inititaive, his hands-on approach to project management underlines the Group’s commitment to the timely delivery and completion of projects within budgeted costs. He oversee, manages, co-ordinates and monitors the performance of on-site staff, deployment of workforce to the project site and utilization of vessels and equipment to ensure timely progress of the projects.

In year 2003, he as the key person of Haruman Utama Sdn Bhd and Sentosacove Sdn Bhd has managed to secured and actively oversee the extensive reclamation works in Melaka measuring 900 acres of land and has subsequently undertaken several other reclamation projects as a sub-contractor.

In 2013, he co-founded Gene & Quin Holdings Sdn Bhd together with his son Mr Leaw Yongene and has been on track to expand the company to become one of the top land reclamation developers in Malaysia and soon, the region.
